Presentation

The Barcelona Provincial Council International Relations Directorate has worked towards two main priorities for more than ten years:

• positioning and promoting Barcelona Provincial Council as a relevant stakeholder in the field of international municipalism, particularly in Europe, Latin America and the Mediterranean;
• strengthening international action and solidarity among local bodies in the province of Barcelona.

The Directorate fulfils its mission by means of the following three lines of action:

• European cooperation,
• development cooperation and
• municipal diplomacy.
